The buffalo

Study painting in watercolour

My sweatshirt was all ratty and torn but I love it, so I
decided to fix it up with some patches and embroidery.
Some of the "before" footage of the tattered sweatshirt.

"After" a needle, some fabric pieces, and embroidery floss.

Here we go again.

February 24: One that's a little embarrassing. I've decided that my next career will be illustrating children's books, so wanted to try out some a little more cartoon-ish, and whimsical. And I'm trying not to let this image hinder those hopes. But, humility is a good trait, right? That's why I made it as small as possible.

February 23: Some sketches. I've got to get back on track, and think that this month, I'll try to work specifically on my sketching. Day one, all over again...

A lot of catching up to do...

I'm so far behind! Here are a couple sketches I've done over the week...
Just a couple of my photography/editing attempts...

And... finally... a finished handbag! This week I'm going to try to get back on track!

Personalized Winterwear

My sister gave me this embroidery kit for chrismas and I got to work right away sewing cute flowers on a plain hat. Then I realised that my mittens matched the colour of my hat and they were pretty boring also and wanted flowers to match.

Creativity for work

These are some designs I've been working on this week for churches to use for banners in their foyer or wherever. They will be blown up huge, like 4x10 feet or so. (Don't mind the slashes through the picture that say iStockphoto... those will be purchased. These are just the first drafts.)

Catching up...

Day eight... I'm trying to bring new life to one of my favorite old cardigans. This is the plan anyway, but it will take another couple days of work.

Day nine was spent just doodling at work. I definitely want to spend more time sketching and doodling...

This bag in progress was both days ten and twelve. Still a little ways to go on it though...

Day eleven was spent working on an album of photos from my old job. One more project that I'm in the middle of. I'm starting to sense a pattern. I think I'm all caught up now!

Until tomorrow...

Day 7?

This is kindof a confusing picture, but I made one of those rice bags that you put in the microwave and heat it up and it keeps you so cozy and warm for like an hour! I love these things. I sleep with mine, bring it in the car with me, use it at work. It's like my best friend. Well my pastor's daughter has a really cold room so I made this one for her. :)
