Ok... I'll spare you the remainder of my March sketches... and just post a couple to prove that I made it through the end of the month!

As you probably already saw on my fb, these are some of my favourites of the flower pictures that I took yesterday. I was feeling in serious need of taking beautiful pictures and finding inspiration. It helped my soul so much! I don't think I've taken photos just for the sake of pursuing my passion since the winter started so many months ago! And I am actually very pleased with the images!

I feel like I should make a square book with these pictures and some poetry. Poetry that fits the mood of the images. Soft. Beautiful. Perhaps sad. Mysterious. A little abstract.

Tomorrow (I hope) I'm going to make this picture frame wall thing with hanging wires and magnets that the pictures hang on. The wall behind my desk has felt unfinished and bare ever since I switched rooms.

First it was a drawing, then a coloured pencil drawing, now it's becoming a watercolour.

Ok... I'll spare my sketch from today, and post two of my sewing projects from the last couple weeks. I finished the dress today, and it makes me so excited for spring! It's kind of bluish/greenish, though you can't really tell from the pictures, and can be worn short, long or as a skirt. And the yoga pants are made from a t-shirt that I got at a thrift store. I could probably live in these pants if I could just figure out a way to keep them from stretching after I wear them once. I love them anyway. And hopefully, this will break the monotony of the sketches some.

A sketch a day...

that's the goal for March. So here they are. Day two, three and four. Some have gotten a little more attention than others. Just practicing quick sketches and more detailed drawings, of course.

Sky...

I saw this location and knew it would make for a great shot, with all the textures and soft colours. Luckily I also had an attractive model to pose for me.

(haha, I accidentally spelled "luckily" wrong so I accidentally spell-check selected "lustily".... coincidence? probably not.)

Blossom from my lemon tree

I love my lemon tree! It produced one lemon that was so sweet! It is indoors, in my room, so I tried to be a bee and pollinate the flowers in hopes of more sweet lemons some day... :)

I love the beginning of a month.... the perfect time to start over. Day one.
